At Training @ Paramedic.Guru, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our EMT students, paramedics, and instructors. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

1. Information We Collect

To provide a verifiable training record, we collect the following:

  • Personal Identifiers: Name, email address, and agency affiliation.

  • Training Progress: Quiz scores, module completion timestamps, and certificate history.

  • Technical Data: IP addresses and login logs (used for security and troubleshooting).

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used specifically for:

  • Verifying completion of mandated EMS training hours.

  • Generating certificates of completion.

  • Improving our curriculum based on aggregate student performance.

  • Maintaining a secure learning environment.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. However, because this is a professional training platform:

  • Agency Reporting: If you are enrolled as part of a specific EMS department or class, your progress, scores, and completion status will be shared with your Assistant Chief, Training Officer, or Instructor.

  • Accreditation: Data may be shared with state or regional EMS councils if required for official certification audits.

4. Data Retention

We maintain your training records, including course completions, quiz scores, and clinical shift logs, for the minimum duration required by all applicable governing bodies. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • The New York State Department of Health Bureau of EMS and Trauma Systems.

  • Regional Emergency Medical Services Councils 

  • Individual EMS Agencies and their specific departmental record-keeping policies.

Records will be stored securely to facilitate recertification audits, quality assurance reviews, and professional verification requests. Once these retention periods have expired, data may be archived or permanently deleted in accordance with professional standards.

You may request to view the data we have on file for you or request a correction to your training record by contacting the Site Administrator.
